Rapper Desiigner, best known for his hit single “Panda,” has been charged with indecent exposure after exposing himself on a Delta flight from Japan to Minneapolis on April 17. He allegedly masturbated in his seat as well.
The rapper, whose real name is Sidney Royel Selby III, is said to have exposed himself and masturbated in front of other people while he was flying first class.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Minnesota announced a misdemeanour charge of indecent exposure on an aircraft against the rapper.
Reports say that he may have been drunk or on drugs when it happened.
Desiigner has addressed the incident, says he is taking some time to focus on his mental health and will check into a mental health treatment facility. In an Instagram story post, he said:
“For the past few months I have not been ok, and I have been struggling to come to terms with what is going on. While overseas for a concert I performed at, I had to be admitted in to a hospital, I was not thinking clearly. They gave me meds, and I had to hop on a plane home.
“I am ashamed of my actions that happened on that plane. I landed back to the states, and am admitting my self in a facility to help me.
“I will be cancelling all of my shows and my obligations until further notice. Mental health is real guys, please pray for me. If [you’re] not feeling like yourself, please get help.”
