The Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC), James Klutse-Avedzi, has instructed the Kadjebi district directorate of the Ghana Education Service (GES) to collaborate with the police in apprehending the former head teacher of Ahamansu LA Erishad Primary School, Patrick Wisdom Krampah.
This directive comes as Krampah is alleged to have received an unearned salary amounting to GHC72,759.32.

During the review of the 2022 Auditor General’s Report on the Accounts of Ghana in Parliament, it was disclosed that Krampah had been paid this significant sum after vacating his position.
The report outlined that Krampah Patrick Wisdom left his post on February 1, 2018, to join the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) as a project assistant.
Management, however, validated and paid salaries for Krampah from February 2018 to June 2020, resulting in the disbursement of a total unearned salary of GHC72,759.32.
The Auditor General’s recommendation proposed that the regional education director ensure the recovery of the mentioned amount from Krampah, along with interest at the prevailing Bank of Ghana (BoG) rate.
This recovered sum should be deposited into the Auditor-General’s Recoveries Account with the Bank of Ghana. Failure to comply would lead to the recovery from the district director and the validators.
