Presbyterian Boys Secondary School emerged victorious in the 2023 National Science and Maths Quiz competition, defeating Opoku Ware Senior High School and Achimota Secondary School.
This marks their 8th win in the history of the competition, having previously won the competition in 1995, 2003, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2020, and 2022. PRESEC won the competition with a total of 40 points accumulated over five rounds of intellectual contention.
Achimota came in second with 28 points, while Opoku Ware trailed behind with 23 points. Here are all the results from each round:

The Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, expressed his appreciation to the organisers, Primetime, for their initiation of the National Science & Maths Quiz (NSMQ) for senior high school (SHS) students.
He acknowledged that the programme has successfully generated enthusiasm for the study of science and its associated disciplines among SHS students.
Furthermore, Dr. Adutwum extended his commendation to all the participants from the three schools, emphasizing their commendable efforts in representing their respective institutions. He reassured them that regardless of the outcome, their contributions have been valuable and beneficial to their schools.
