Reality TV star Porsha Williams has finally broken her silence following the detention of her ex-husband, Simon Guobadia, by U.S.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum addressed the situation publicly, expressing her focus on moving forward despite the legal turmoil surrounding Guobadia.
Guobadia, a Nigerian-born entrepreneur, was taken into ICE custody amid an ongoing crackdown on immigration violations.
Reports reveal that his legal troubles date back to the 1980s, when he was initially ruled deportable after overstaying his visa.
Despite being removed from the U.S. in 1992, he later returned, and his 2016 attempt at citizenship was denied due to past infractions, including allegations of fraud.
Williams, who filed for divorce in February 2024 after just 15 months of marriage, addressed the controversy in an Instagram post.

Without directly mentioning Guobadia’s legal predicament, she stated: “At this moment, my focus remains on my family and the path ahead. Some situations are beyond our control, and all we can do is move forward with grace.”
The former couple’s split has been anything but amicable, with court battles over prenuptial agreements and even defamation lawsuits making headlines.
Now, as Guobadia faces potential deportation, all eyes remain on Williams to see whether she will reveal more about their turbulent past.
