Police On The Hunt For Gunmen Who Shot Two Off-Duty Policemen

The Ghana Police Service is currently searching for two gunmen who tragically killed two off-duty police officers outside their home at Block factory, East Trasacco in Accra.

The unfortunate event occurred this evening [May 2, 2024] around 6 pm.

According to a police statement, the gunmen did not steal anything from the victims and quickly fled on a motorcycle after the shooting. In the meantime, law enforcement has initiated a strategic operation to capture the suspects.

Here’s a full statement the police issued:

The Ghana Police Service is on a manhunt for two gunmen who fatally shot two off duty Police officers sitting in front of their private residence at Block factory, East Trasacco, Accra, today Thursday 2nd May 2024, at about 6:00 pm. The gunmen did not take anything from the victims and sped off on a motorbike. An intelligence-led operation to get the suspects arrested is currently ongoing.
