Piesie Esther is a well-known Ghanaian gospel singer who has won numerous accolades for her uplifting music. Born as Ohemaa Esther into a musical family with a strong commitment to church activities.

Born into a family of singers who took church activities seriously, Esther followed the same trend until she was discovered by Georgia Adjei in Kumasi. 

Music Career

Georgia Adjei uncovered her aptitude in Kumasi, but her career took off when she joined the Great Light Worship Centre in Accra, led by Rev Asamoah Boateng (also known as Apae Live), who produced her first two albums.

In 2002, Piesie Esther’s debut album, “Apae Ama Me,” garnered her national recognition. This was followed by the release of her album “Me Nte Ase” in 2008, which garnered her nominations for Gospel Artiste of the Year and Gospel Song of the Year at the 2009 Ghana Music Awards. Although she did not win in any of these categories, the nominations helped to increase her exposure and visibility.

In addition to her vocation as a singer, Piesie Esther is an accomplished songwriter and composer. She received the award for Best Inspirational Song at the 2009 Ceval Gospel Awards.

Her powerful brand and consistent performances have garnered her a large local and international fan base. She has ministered and performed at numerous corporate events, captivating audiences over the years.

Subsequently, Piesie Esther released her third album, “Ziba Beko,” in 2011, followed by “Agye Won Nsem” in 2016, which received widespread airplay. Early in 2017, she released the worship album “Osore3 Mu Tumi.”

In 2019, Piesie Esther released “My Great Thanks” (Maseda Kse), and in 2021, she released “You Will Testify” (Wobdi Adanse).

Piesie Esther’s music reflects her profound desire to assist others in drawing closer to God. She has conducted worship sessions across the globe, including the United States, Italy, Belgium, Canada, the Netherlands, and Germany and the United Kindom.

In June 2022, the gospel songstress dropped her hit single “Wayε Me Yie.”

In addition to her musical accomplishments, Piesie Esther is regarded as a role model for her live band performances. In addition to her work in the gospel, she also controls several businesses in Ghana.
