Reality TV star and influencer, Pere Egbi, has stirred up a conversation with a bold statement on social media, advising men to be cautious when their girlfriends plan to go on “girls trips” to places like Cancun or other tropical resorts.
In a post that quickly gained traction online, Egbi shared his thoughts on the dynamics of such trips and the potential risks involved for relationships.
“Men, if she’s planning that ‘girls trip’ to Cancun or some tropical resort, let’s be real—it’s not just about sipping margaritas by the pool,” Egbi began, setting the tone for what many saw as an honest, albeit controversial, perspective on vacation behaviour.
He explained that while trips to tourist hotspots may appear innocent, the mix of drinks, sun, and a carefree atmosphere often leads to situations where inhibitions are lowered.

“The reality is, when certain environments mix drinks, sun, and ‘no-strings’ vibes, inhibitions tend to disappear,” he said, pointing out that such trips often provide a space for people seeking “no one will know” experiences—behaviour that could challenge the boundaries of a committed relationship.
