In an interview on Joy Prime, media personality Nana Aba Anamoah opened up about how her confidence is often misinterpreted as rudeness.
“But my politeness is sometimes hidden in a very subtle and sarcastic way. I hear people say that I’m rude. I’m not rude; I’m just a very confident person,” Nana Aba explained.
She went on to address the societal challenges women face when it comes to expressing their abilities, highlighting how women sometimes hold back for fear of being perceived as overly assertive or boastful.

“The problem is that women are sometimes afraid to say what they can do because they think people will say they’re too knowing and want people to see that they can do this or that, but there’s nothing wrong with it because that’s what you can do,” she said.
Nana Aba emphasized the importance of embracing one’s skills and being unapologetic about what one brings to the table.
“This is what I’m capable of doing, and this is what I’m bringing to the table when you employ me. So, there’s a confidence issue with a lot of our ladies,” she concluded.
