Parliament Approves New Ministers Under President Mahama

Parliament has approved three new ministers nominated by President John Dramani Mahama. The approval followed extensive discussions in the House.

The ministers are Abla Dzifa Gomashie, appointed as Minister for Tourism, Arts, and Culture; George Opare-Addo, as Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment; and Emelia Arthur, as Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture.

Gomashie, a strong advocate for the arts, will focus on promoting Ghana’s cultural heritage and boosting tourism.

Opare-Addo will tackle issues affecting the youth, including unemployment and education, with a focus on creating empowerment programs.

Arthur, with experience in rural development, will work on improving the sustainability and productivity of Ghana’s fisheries sector.

These new appointments are expected to bring fresh leadership to key sectors of Ghana’s development.
