The Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) Committee has uncovered 36 high-profile cases that could potentially reclaim $20.49 billion in misappropriated public funds.
During the submission of ORAL’s final report to President John Dramani Mahama on Monday, February 10, 2025, Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa highlighted the vast scale of corruption under scrutiny.
“The data suggests that with just 36 carefully investigated cases, Ghana can potentially recover $20.49 billion in stolen or misused state resources,” Ablakwa stated.
He also revealed that the committee had received 2,417 complaints, including 1,493 toll-free calls and 924 emails, all carefully recorded and preserved for verification.
