President John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed his commitment to tackling corruption and recovering misappropriated state resources.

Speaking during his Thank You tour in the Central Region on Thursday, February 6, Mahama announced that the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) Committee is set to submit its report next week, after which investigative bodies will begin their work.

“Next week, the ORAL committee that I set up is going to present its report to me.

“And I will refer it to the investigative organizations to start their investigations against people who have misappropriated the resources of this nation,” he stated.

His strong stance on accountability signals a new era of governance where past and present officials will be held to the same ethical standards.

Mahama emphasized that his administration will not turn a blind eye to corruption, irrespective of political affiliations.

“Even as we investigate those who have just left office and we carry out our Operation Recover All Loot, those who are current office bearers should also know that they will be held to the same standard as we are holding the past regime,” he stressed.
