Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah, the popular morning show host of Angel FM, has announced his immediate resignation from the media company, citing differences in interests with the management.
The seasoned broadcaster shared the news with his fans, stating, “I am resigning as the morning show host of Angel Broadcasting Network, effective immediately.
“This decision was made due to differences in interests between the management of the company and myself.”
Okatakyie, a well-known supporter of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has been a prominent figure in Ghanaian media for years, attracting a significant following for his outspoken views and controversial moments.

He is also known for his frequent public feuds with personalities such as Reverend Owusu Bempah and figures affiliated with the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
While expressing gratitude for the opportunity to serve at ABN and to the public, Okatakyie hinted at future plans, reassuring his fans, “To my fans and family out there, I will share my next move soon.”
His resignation has raised eyebrows in media circles, especially given his history of outspoken political stances.
For many, his departure marks the end of an era at Angel FM, where his fiery commentary and strong opinions often sparked debates across the country.
