Ofori Amponsah has opened up about his profound connection to music and spirituality.

During an interview on TV3’s “Day Show,” he revealed that his musical journey is intricately linked to his faith, stating, “It’s a gift, and that was what I was doing in church before I became Ofori Amponsah.”

Reflecting on his early days, Ofori shared, “For me, music was my platform. I am in the studio, and it came to me that in 2020, this will happen, so I put it in the song because I don’t have a church.”

His words highlight how he uses music not just as a form of entertainment but as a medium to express his spiritual insights and connect with others.

Despite his fame, Ofori emphasizes that his roots in gospel music remain strong. “Ofori Amponsah was already in church, singing in church before I became Ofori Amponsah.

“So, it’s not like I tried to give my life to Christ. I was already doing that,” he explained. This deep-seated connection to his faith has been a guiding force throughout his career.

However, the journey hasn’t always been smooth. Ofori candidly discussed his struggles, admitting that he took a break from music because he felt he was going “wayward.”

“I was doing this thing for a long time, and I needed a break,” he confessed.

Recognizing the need for self-reflection, he stated, “I needed to find myself again, and I think the break was a very good thing for me because I was a bit going wayward until I just took a break and came back.”

Now, with a renewed sense of purpose, Ofori proudly declares, “Right now, I am more successful than before—a hundred times successful.” His comeback serves as a testament to the transformative power of introspection and the importance of staying true to one’s values.
