Bryan Acheampong, the member of parliament for the Abetifi Constituency, has said that the ruling New Patriotic Party will do everything in its power to win the 2024 general elections.

He claims that his party, the New Patriotic Party (NPP), will not go into the election unprepared because it is not ready to hand over power to the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

According to him, the NPP has enough men to fight the National Democratic Congress tooth and nail in the 2024 elections.

Speaking to party members following a health walk around Mpraeso’s main streets on April 8, 2023, Bryan Acheampong stated that, “We will show NDC that we have the men if they want to do intimidate, harass us or do anything foolish during the 2024 elections…. It will not happen that we will hand over power to NDC. We’l use any means for NPP to stay in power.”

However, five people have already announced their candidature for the New Patriotic Party’s leadership position. (NPP).

Among them are former NPP General Secretary Kwabena Agyapong, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Food and Agriculture Minister Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto, and Trade and Industry Minister Alan Kyerematen.

On November 4, 2023, the NPP will hold its primaries to choose its candidate for the general election in 2024.
