NPP Suspends Pusiga Executives, Cites Anti-Party Behaviour

Six constituency executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Pusiga Constituency have been suspended over allegations of anti-party behavior.

A letter dated February 20, 2025, and signed by Upper East Regional NPP Chairman Anthony Namoo, Esq., directed the affected executives to step aside and appear before the regional disciplinary committee.

Those suspended include Constituency Communication Officer Awinimi Emmanuel, 2nd Vice Chairman Belingumse Sawuda, Assistant Secretary Haruna Salam, Treasurer Kazussah Jacob, Elections and Research Officer Salifu Ibn Adam, and Deputy Nasara Coordinator Iddrisu Kadiri.

Confirming the development to Citi News, Awinimi Emmanuel stated that they have not been informed of any offenses committed.

“When I opened the letter, they said they had suspended me as Communication Officer of the party in the constituency and the Regional Disciplinary Committee will invite me. I said okay. So I took my letter. That is all I can say,” he said.
