NPP Polls: See Provisional Results So Far

, Ghana Street Journal

We have obtained preliminary outcomes from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) regarding the presidential primaries, which will determine the party’s flagbearer.

The election is expected to involve a total of 203,439 delegates, with 436 of them voting at the party’s headquarters in Asylum Down, Accra.

Four individuals are vying for the position of flagbearer. Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is viewed as the leading candidate, while Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, the Member of Parliament for Assin Central, is anticipated to be a formidable opponent, especially following his unexpected second-place finish in the party’s Super Delegates Conference held in August.

The remaining contenders are Dr. Owusu Akoto Afriyie, a former Food and Agric Minister, and Francis Addai-Nimoh, a former Member of Parliament.
