The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has issued a directive instructing all its members to refrain from making any comments regarding the ongoing issues between the political party and the Manhyia Palace.

The radio discussions in the Ashanti Region have heightened following alleged derogatory remarks about the Manhyia Palace attributed to the Ashanti Regional NPP Chair, Bernard Antwi Boasiako alias Wontumi.

During a press conference held in Kumasi, NPP General Secretary, Justin Koduah, announced the party’s decision, emphasizing that leadership is actively addressing the matter.

Simultaneously, the NPP has reassured the public of its commitment to completing all stalled projects in the region. Mr. Koduah assured that the Kumasi International Airport would be completed before the second quarter of the year.

“I can assure you, the good people of the Ashanti Region, that before the end of the second quarter, the Kumasi International Airport will be commissioned for flights to move from outside Ghana to the Kumasi International Airport,” he stated.

He further mentioned the steady progress of work on the Boankra Inland Port and other ongoing projects.

Regarding the NPP’s upcoming Parliamentary race, approximately 400 individuals obtained forms, with 376 undergoing the vetting process.

In anticipation of the upcoming event, the General Secretary advised against the camping and transportation of delegates to voting grounds, aiming to ensure a free and fair electoral process.
