MC Portfolio has responded to criticisms from DJ Slim on the Street is Watching podcasts.
DJ Slim accused MC Portfolio of betraying Stonebwoy and his fans by allegedly accepting money from Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy’s longtime rival.
The critique was sharp, with DJ Slim labelling MC Portfolio a “hypocrite” and questioning his loyalty to the BHIM Nation camp.
In an emotional response on X (formerly Twitter), MC Portfolio poured out his frustration and disappointment at the situation.
He lamented the impact of DJ Slim’s remarks, which he believed misrepresented his intentions and could damage his relationship with Stonebwoy and his fans. “Boss @djsliming, woke up highly disappointed, senior!
The wrong impressions created in your editorial tend to ruin my relationship with Stonebwoy and his fans. You weren’t fair to me at all! I’m hurt, but we move. God knows my intentions! It’s all good,” he wrote.
Despite the public scrutiny, MC Portfolio reaffirmed his steadfast admiration for Stonebwoy, describing a bond that goes beyond mere allegiance.
He admitted he did not expect Stonebwoy to reciprocate the same level of loyalty but emphasized that his respect for the artist would never waver.
“In all this, I don’t expect Stonebwoy to choose me anymore. He doesn’t have to, but I will always choose him, not because he is flawless, but because I owe him that.

“No one has gone to the extent he has for me! It’s also okay to show love from afar,” he shared, revealing the depth of his gratitude and the emotional weight of the accusations.
Amid the fallout, MC Portfolio also addressed claims from some members of Shatta Wale’s camp, who alleged he had been swayed by a payment of 5,000 Ghana cedis.
Laughing off the accusation, he reminded critics of his past contributions to Shatta Wale’s “Shatta KIP project,” which he supported without requesting any payment.
“Funny how some of y’all in the SM camp think I can be bought with 5K—something God can help me make in 2 hours? After all the sacrifices I made for the Shatta KIP project without requesting a dime? Some of y’all SM guys are funny!” he added.
