Blakk Rasta has once again voiced his frustration over Ghana’s heavy reliance on foreign products, taking specific aim at the country’s leadership and their choices.
The outspoken media personality did not hold back as he criticized Parliament for allowing imported beverages into the House instead of supporting locally made drinks.
“No drink should be imported into the Parliament House. You are making the laws; you must represent the people. Drink Asaana in Parliament,” he charged, emphasizing that lawmakers should embody the values they preach.
According to him, those who insist on imported beverages can consume them outside the legislative chamber.
His sentiments extended beyond Parliament, as he took on traditionalists who offer Western schnapps to Ghanaian deities. He found it absurd that indigenous gods, believed to have gifted the land with local brews like Asaana and Pito, would be given foreign alcohol as libations.

“How can your gods, who gave you Asaana and Pito, not like to drink them but prefer schnapps from the West?” he questioned. “You must have crazy gods. That is why our gods are shooting and killing people at chieftaincy gatherings.”
Blakk Rasta further criticized African leaders who dress in Western suits instead of embracing locally made attire. He found it contradictory that the same leaders lament the decline of their textile industries while adorning themselves in garments imported from Europe and America.
“Why should the president of Africa be dressed like the president of America or the prime minister of Israel? They are two different geographical locations with different cultures. Yet, we are the same people who complain that our fabric industry is not progressing,” he argued.
