Nicki Minaj has emerged as the highest-selling female rapper of 2024, surpassing Doja Cat in a competitive year for women in rap.
With just weeks left until the end of the year, Chart Data confirmed on November 30 that Minaj has outsold her peers.
Doja Cat holds the second spot, with Megan Thee Stallion, GloRilla, and Sexyy Red rounding out the top five.
The rankings reflect a shift from 2023 when Doja Cat claimed the top position and Minaj placed second. Megan Thee Stallion held steady at third, while Cardi B and Ice Spice completed the list at fourth and fifth, respectively.

Doja Cat’s 2024 output was minimal, with her most notable release being a deluxe edition of her 2023 album Scarlet, timed to her headlining performance at Coachella.
Since then, she has largely stayed out of the spotlight, stepping back from social media and teasing a “new era” for 2025.
In contrast, Nicki Minaj dominated the year with a combination of touring and selective releases.
Among her highlights was the 10th-anniversary edition of The Pinkprint, featuring bonus tracks, including a posthumous collaboration with Juice WRLD.
Minaj plans to close the year with Pink Friday 2 – The Hiatus, a deluxe version of her 2023 album, which hints at a possible break from the industry in 2025.
As the year draws to a close, Minaj’s success reaffirms her enduring impact on the rap scene, while Doja Cat’s low-profile year builds anticipation for her next chapter.
