The Communications Officer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi, has married his longtime girlfriend Irene Amankwaa Karikari.
The private ceremony took place on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at Chain Homes at TseAdo in Accra.
Former President John Mahama attended the private event as a special guest, alongside newly elected NDC National Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketia.
The wedding, which was originally planned to take place in late November was postponed until after the NDC’s National Delegates Congress since the groom was running for re-election as National Communications Officer, a position he has retained.
Sammy Gyamfi ultimately prevailed since he did not have an opponent following his rival’s disqualification.
Others guests at the private event included Prof. Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang, Valerie Sawyerr, Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo and Edudzie Tamakloe among others.
