National Security Stops Owusu Bempah & Cohorts Over Planned Demo Against Mahama

The Minister of National Security, Albert Kan-Dapaah, has effectively halted the efforts of Ernest Owusu Bempah and his associates from the Fixing The Country Movement to organize a notorious protest against former president John Dramani Mahama.

The decision to stop the demonstration was made due to concerns regarding security. In an official press statement, Ernest Owusu-Bempah, the group’s spokesperson, announced that the planned demonstration and picketing at the Cantonments office of former President John Mahama, which was originally scheduled for Thursday, November 23, 2024, has now been cancelled as a result of a formal order issued by the Ministry of National Security.

According to Bempah: “National Security informed our leadership of perceived security considerations that necessitated their request and we have subsequently suspended the demonstration indefinitely. To our teeming supporters across the country for the last-minute cancellation, we wish to assure them that the campaign to ensure that the Special Prosecutor rapidly investigates the controversial Air Bus bribery saga continues unabated. We will employ all legal and constitutional means to ensure that the investigation is pursued to its logical conclusion.”

Previously, the Greater Accra Youth wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has warned Ernest Owusu Bempah and his allies planning to stage a counter-demonstration against John Dramini Mahama in response to the Occupy Jubilee House protest to buy their coffins and secure their graves beforehand.

Obviously shaken by the Occupy Jubilee House demonstration, Mr Ernest Owusu-Bempah Bonsu, Head of Corporate Communications, Ghana National Gas Company, and a stalwart of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) is planning to organize a similar demonstration to make John Dramani Mahama unpopular, despite the recent demo not being partisan.

The group per the information obtained by Tru News Report, has decided to picket at the office of the former president Mahama while vehemently asking the Special Prosecutor to investigate him over the infamous Airbus scandal.

From the foregoing, the MP for Ningo Prampram, Sam Dzata George, has taken to social media to assure the NDC Youth Wing of his full support to teach Owusu Bempah a lesson if he’s not ‘reasoning’ well and go ahead with this needless demonstration.

Sam George wrote:

Dear Amorse Blessing Amos, I have seen your letter to a non-entity that claimed it is preparing to embark on a journey to nowhere. Kindly know that I stand ready to offer any support that is needed by the Greater Accra Youth Wing to deal swiftly, brutally and decisively with any silly attempt that he and his paymasters seek to embark on. Enough of the rogue mercenary claptrap in this Country. 🦁💪🏾🇬🇭🔥
