Renowned radio host Abdul Karim, widely known as Nana Romeo, has taken legal action against television personality Sally Frimpong Mann and three others, including XYZ Broadcasting (Power FM), Agyemang Prempeh, and Clement Asamoah.

The lawsuit, filed at the High Court of Justice in Accra, accuses the defendants of making and amplifying defamatory statements against the plaintiff.

Nana Romeo contends that the statements, allegedly made by Sally Mann and disseminated through Power FM and its associates, have caused significant harm to his reputation.

Nana Romeo argues that these remarks have unfairly tainted his image. In his suit, Nana Romeo is seeking a court declaration that the statements were defamatory and an order for the defendants to issue an unqualified apology.

The apology, he insists, should be widely published, including in the Daily Graphic. He also demands damages amounting to GHS 1,000,000 for the reputational harm caused, along with aggravated damages for the alleged malicious intent behind the statements.

Furthermore, he is requesting a permanent injunction to prevent the defendants from making or publishing any further defamatory remarks about him.
