Ghanaian singer Mzbel has reignited her feud with counsellor and pastor Charlotte Oduro, using the latter’s failed marriage as a point of criticism.
In a scathing remark, Mzbel questioned Oduro’s credibility as a counsellor, referencing their past clash over Mzbel’s son, Okomfo Black.
“When issues with Okomfo Black, my son, came up, this woman stood against him. She took it very personally, and I was shocked,” Mzbel stated.
“As for this woman, I can say I have a problem with her. I really do have a problem with her. She said she would stand against my child. A ten-year-old child?”
The rift between the two dates back to a controversy involving Mzbel’s son, where Charlotte Oduro reportedly opposed him on religious grounds. Mzbel, however, found Oduro’s stance both extreme and hypocritical, questioning why a pastor would engage in such a dispute with a child.
“When my son’s issue came up, she said she would fight for her God, but she couldn’t even fight for her own marriage,” Mzbel continued. “She was trying to fight a 10-year-old boy over some God.”

Mzbel further expressed disappointment in how Oduro handled the situation, arguing that as a supposed counsellor, she should have approached it with more wisdom.
“She calls herself a counsellor and a pastor, so I expected her to handle this situation differently. I was expecting her to say that the boy is young and should be cut some slack and that as he grows, he’ll come to understand,” she remarked.
The singer admitted that her frustration with Oduro deepened after the incident, leading her to observe the counsellor more closely. Now, in light of Oduro’s separation from her husband, Apostle Solomon Oduro, Mzbel believes her suspicions have been confirmed.
“After she spoke against my son, I started paying closer attention to her. I was disappointed that some people actually go to her for advice,” she said.
“It was so obvious her marriage would fail. Every time she insulted her husband, she thought it was a joke. She hasn’t made marriage appealing for us unmarried ones. She hasn’t set a good example.”
