Kennedy Ohene Agyapong’s wife, Stella Wilson Agyapong, upset him when she tried to defend an allegedly corrupt health worker who exploited a lady at a government hospital.
In an interview on Sompa TV the Assin Central MP said he was approached by a stranger who told him about a corrupt nurse who was stealing from a hospital in Ghana.
“A woman I met told me that a nurse who treated her friend’s daughter wrote a wrong receipt for her, and that she confronted the nurse for writing a receipt of GH50 when she had paid GH250 at the hospital. My wife, who was present and who knows me very well, urged the woman not to mention the name of the hospital to me; this is why I say the she is corrupt. I would have mentioned the name of.the hospital in Kumasi in today’s interview without hesitation.” he said.
The member of parliament who referred to his wife as corrupt also declared that he would sack her immediately if she shows the same attitude during his presidency of Ghana.
Kennedy Agyapong claims his loving wife, who spent years working overseas, should have known better than to get in the way when he planned to publicly shame the perpetrator as a warning to others.
“She was quite principled when she returned to Ghana from the United States; do you know why she has become corrupt? How does this change the nation? You want to be the First Lady? I’ll sack you immediately if you maintain this attitude. Was this her attitude while she lived abroad? “he said.
