My Tattoos Tell the Story of My Life- Rapper D-Black

In an interview with Amansan Krakye on Property FM, Ghanaian rapper and entrepreneur D-Black shared the personal significance behind the tattoos that adorn his body.

For him, these inked symbols and scriptures are far more than just art—they are reflections of his journey, his faith, and the people who have shaped his life.

“I have scriptures tattooed on my body because God is my best friend,” D-Black revealed, speaking with a mix of pride and vulnerability. Among these tattoos are verses that have been his guiding light, including John 3:16, Isaiah 41:10, and Proverbs 3:27.

“Each verse holds a special place in his heart, helping him navigate both the highs and lows of life. “I love all the verses on my body. They apply to my personal life,” he added, highlighting how his faith has been a constant source of strength.

For D-Black, his tattoos aren’t just expressions of faith—they are a tribute to the people and moments that have left a lasting impact. His grandmother, a woman he holds dear, has her name permanently inked on his skin.

The Black Avenue Muzik logo, representing the record label he built from the ground up, is also part of his tattoo collection. It’s a nod to his entrepreneurial spirit and his commitment to the Ghanaian music industry.

But perhaps the most poignant tattoos are those that pay homage to his family. D-Black has the birth years of his daughters tattooed, serving as a reminder of the joy and responsibility fatherhood has brought him.

He also cherishes a tattoo of a picture taken on the day he was born—an image of him as a baby cradled in his father’s arms. It’s a deeply personal moment captured forever, marking the beginning of his life’s story.

“I have my dad’s birthday and the day he passed away tattooed on my body,” D-Black shared, his voice tinged with emotion.
