In a recent interview on Talkertainment with GhanaWeb’s Elsie Lamar, Ghanaian rapper and entrepreneur D-Black opened up about his personal life, shedding light on his journey through love, fatherhood, and his outlook on marriage.

Known for his successes in the music industry and his ventures into business, D-Black offered a glimpse into the more personal aspects of his life, particularly his experience with relationships.

“I’ve never been married,” he revealed during the interview. D-Black, who has been a prominent figure in the Ghanaian music scene for years, shared that his last serious relationship spanned his early adulthood, from the age of 22 to nearly 30.

Since then, he has remained single for about seven or eight years. This period, he implied, has given him time to focus on his career, his children, and his growth as an individual.

Despite the end of his romantic relationship with his former partner, D-Black emphasized the strong bond they still share. “She’s the most supportive person in my life,” he said, recalling how she would accompany him to the studio when he was first starting out in the industry.

Their relationship has since evolved into a solid friendship, and the two co-parent their children with mutual respect and understanding.

“We’re friends now—very, very good friends, and we co-parent very well,” he added, highlighting how they’ve prioritized their children’s well-being, a testament to their maturity and the respect they have for one another.

As for his thoughts on marriage, D-Black isn’t in a rush, but he is optimistic about the future. “I’ll marry when I’m 40. I’m looking for a wife,” he shared with a sense of intention.

At 40, the rapper envisions himself ready for this next chapter, believing that the right partner will come into his life when the time is right.

“At the right time, God will give me the right person,” he added, expressing his faith in divine timing for such a significant life decision.
