When it comes to luxury, media personality Toke Makinwa knows how to treat herself.

In a recent conversation, she revealed that her priorities have shifted, and it’s not about the usual status symbols like jewellery, shoes, or bags anymore—it’s all about skincare.

Toke Makinwa is a Nigerian media personality, television host, and author, renowned for her work as a presenter on popular shows like The Morning Drive on Rhythm FM and her appearances on the Toke Makinwa Show.

With her vibrant presence in the entertainment industry, she has become a role model for many young women, particularly those seeking to balance career, beauty, and personal growth.

Over the years, Toke has built a successful career as a brand ambassador, fashion icon, and influencer, while also gaining widespread recognition for her candid, relatable social media posts.

“See my skin, eey God. The most expensive thing for me is my skin. The amount of money I spend on my skin, whew!” Toke shared, giving her followers a glimpse into her extravagant skincare regimen.

She explained that unlike before, when her focus was on external accessories, her attention is now on maintaining the health and beauty of her skin.

As someone who has always been in the public eye, Toke’s appearance is part of her brand, and she’s invested a lot of time and resources to ensure her skin stays radiant.

“It used to change—jewellery, shoes, bags, etc.—but now it’s my skin,” she added, emphasizing that her priorities have evolved with time.

To underscore just how serious she is about her skincare routine, Toke went on to reveal a jaw-dropping fact.

“I once bought a face mask for $700,” she disclosed, leaving fans stunned by her dedication to quality products. Toke’s willingness to splurge on skincare isn’t just about the external result; it’s a testament to her self-care philosophy.

“I am always thinking about my skin,” Toke confessed, acknowledging the importance of long-term care over fleeting trends.
