Adina has shared that her fair skin colour got her into trouble while growing up, as others often perceived her as arrogant and disrespectful.
She recounted moments when individuals advised her mother to monitor her closely, fearing she might attract unwanted attention from area boys.
In an interview with Amansan Krakye on Property FM, she expressed that navigating this situation was quite difficult for her.
Sharing her experience, the Ghanaian singer said, “Growing up because I am a fair-skinned person when a lot of people see me at first glance they judge me to be disrespectful just because of my skin colour.
“I’ve had instances where in the area that we reside people used to tell my mother to keep a close eye on me just because I was looking very fair in complexion,” she revealed on Cape Coast-based Property FM
“Sometimes when my mother tells me about the complaints she’s getting about me I used to feel so hurt because to me I don’t see what I’ve done wrong.
“But just because of the way God has created me the moment you set your eyes on me you conclude that I’ll be a very bad girl or disrespectful and that’s some of the experiences I’ve been through,” she disclosed.
