Rap legend Jay-Z has vehemently denied allegations that he and fellow music mogul Diddy sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl at an afterparty following the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards.
The accusations were laid out in a lawsuit filed by prominent attorney Tony Buzbee on behalf of an anonymous plaintiff, with Jay-Z being identified only as “Celebrity A” in the original filing.
In a passionate statement addressing the allegations, Jay-Z responded with outrage, calling the accusations “heinous” and urging the accuser to file a criminal complaint rather than a civil one.
“These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!” he wrote. “Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree?”
The rap mogul, who has always maintained a carefully crafted public image, went on to express his deep concern for the impact these allegations might have on his family. “My only heartbreak is for my family.

“My wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at the age where her friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims, and explain the cruelty and greed of people,” he said. “I mourn yet another loss of innocence.”
In his statement, Jay-Z also expressed empathy for victims of real abuse, distancing himself from what he described as a malicious attempt to profit from such a serious issue.
“My heart and support go out to true victims in the world, who have to watch how their life story is dressed in costume for profitability by this ambulance chaser in a cheap suit,” he added, referring to the lawyer representing the alleged victim.
The lawsuit was filed in October, initially naming Diddy as the defendant, with Jay-Z being mentioned only as “Celebrity A.”
However, in the wake of public attention, Jay-Z’s name has been brought to the forefront, prompting an increasingly heated legal battle.
The allegations have sent shockwaves through the music industry, as the case continues to unfold.
Jay-Z’s denial of the claims is adamant, and he has expressed his readiness to fight the accusations in court. “These alleged victims would deserve real justice if that were the case,” he concluded.
