Popular artiste manager and entertainment pundit, Lawrence Asiamah Hanson, popularly known as Bullgod, has dismissed claims that he has been insulting former President Nana Akufo-Addo.
Speaking in an interview on Hitz FM, he insisted that his remarks were opinions rather than insults and maintained that his criticism of the former president was based on personal grievances.
“I don’t understand why people say I’ve been insulting the former president. Those are not insults; those are opinions.
“For me and him, my issue is personal. His campaign was mostly begging, and he had no real message.
“For someone like that, it is hard for me to respect him because he does not respect anyone. He doesn’t deserve it, and anyone who says otherwise must see things differently,” he stated.
Bullgod further criticized Akufo-Addo for what he described as instances of disrespect towards Ghanaians, particularly traditional leaders.
“In front of everyone, you tell a sitting chief of a community to get up before they can give you the respect you think you deserve is unacceptable. For chiefs to gather and come meet you at your office, the office they put you in.
“For you to go to Akosombo when the flood happened and say, ‘I don’t know why I’m here; you didn’t vote for me,’ I can’t understand how we are supposed to respect such a person. If you treat someone a certain way, the same will happen to you,” he added.
