Monica Spence aka Monique, a Canada-based woman who relocated to Ghana with dreams of building a music career, has accused Emmanuel Barnes, alias Mr Logic, of defrauding her and exploiting her aspirations.
She further revealed that during a phone call, Mr Logic threatened her when she confronted him about the alleged fraud.
Monique recounted how Mr Logic, through his company Red Panther Music, promised to help her secure a work permit and launch her career as an artist.
Initially, she and her family were optimistic about the move to Ghana. “We moved to Accra because that’s where the action is for music. Mr Logic convinced us we needed a three-year work permit under his company, with the promise that it would lead to citizenship,” she explained.

However, she claims things quickly unravelled when they realized that the money they paid for permits and rent was misappropriated. “We paid upfront for two years’ rent, only to find out later that Mr Logic had been pocketing the money instead of paying the landlord,” Monique said.
Amid the escalating tension, Monique shared that Mr Logic warned her against speaking out. “During a phone call, he said if I kept talking, he would murder me. I told him I was recording the conversation, and he didn’t stop. I plan to use this evidence in court,” she stated.
Monique further alleged that Mr Logic prevented any direct communication between her family and the landlord, complicating their living situation.
“He made sure the landlord couldn’t reach us and vice versa. It was all part of his scheme,” she added.
Despite the ordeal, Monique is determined to seek justice and expose what she describes as a “web of lies and intimidation.”
The accusations against Mr Logic include misappropriation of funds, threats, and exploitation, painting a grim picture of a dream turned into a nightmare.
