A report from Ghanaweb states that Mr Logic has denied any involvement in fraud, as quickly picked up by various online news outlets.
In a follow-up interview with GhanaWeb following the widespread news, Logic avoided making any additional statements.
Still, it did highlight that he had previously worked with an American in the music sector and that the latter had falsely accused him.
GNA reports that Logic was summoned to the Dansoman Circuit Court and charged with allegedly swindling Khori Edward Lewis, an American living in Pantang, Accra, for $21,000 and GH₵48,000.
The allegations suggest that he took the money under the guise of helping Lewis obtain a resident permit in Ghana, but he did not fulfil this promise.
He has denied the accusations of fraud by deceit. In response to a GhanaWeb article, Logic has maintained his innocence regarding any fraudulent activities.
Background

The nature of the alleged fraud involved a sum of $21,000.00 in US dollars and GH¢48,000.00 in Ghanaian currency.
According to The Chronicle, Mr. Logic was accused of orchestrating the fraud under the guise of facilitating the acquisition of a resident permit.
The report maintained that he maintained his innocence and was released on bail amounting to GH¢400,000, secured by three sureties.
