Andrew Nii Commey Otoo (born June 10, 1996) is a Ghanaian Highlife and Afrobeats musician and performer known by his stage name Mr Drew.
Mr. Drew was born in Accra, Ghana, within the Greater Accra Region. The artiste attended Achimota Senior High School.
Music Career
Mr. Drew began his career as a performer in high school before transitioning to a full-time career as a musician.
In 2017, he participated in the sixth season of the MTN Hitmaker competition and finished as the runner-up. Right after Mr Drew was contracted to Highly Spiritual Music, founded by music producer and engineer Kaywa.
After working with the label for five years, he parted ways with Highly Spiritual in 2023.
In 2021, he won the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards and the 3Music Awards for Best New Artist.
In appreciation for Kaywa’s Highly Spiritual Music, the award-winning artist decided to give his royalties to Kaywa, his erstwhile label boss.
