In a fiery social media post, Ghanaian media personality Bridget Otoo expressed her frustration with American-Ghanaian comedian Michael Blackson for his recent remarks about Ghana’s economic situation following the Eurobond loss.
Otoo took issue with Blackson’s selective criticism, pointing out that while he didn’t shy away from dragging former President John Mahama (JM), he avoided mentioning the current administration, including President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Bawumia.
“Michael Blackson is talking about Ghana instead of mentioning Akufo-Addo and Bawumia. He didn’t hesitate to name JM when he had to drag him. Mtseeeeew,” Otoo wrote, highlighting what she saw as an unfair double standard in Blackson’s critique.
Her comment comes amid growing public debate over the government’s handling of the economy, with the recent Eurobond loss adding fuel to an already heated discussion.
This also follows Michael Blackson’s revelations about a raw deal he received from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government.
In a series of fiery posts shared on X (formerly Twitter), Blackson expressed his frustration over significant financial losses tied to his investment in Ghanaian Eurobonds, which he had intended to help fund his charitable efforts back home.
Blackson, who built a free school in Agona Nsaba, explained that he chose to invest in Eurobonds to ensure the school’s sustainability.
