In a surprising twist following a prolonged legal battle, Kumawood actor and producer Kwadwo Nkansah, better known as Lilwin, publicly extended an olive branch to fellow actor Martha Ankomah.
His apology, shared in a widely circulated video, comes after months of tension stemming from a lawsuit Martha filed in response to a video in which Lilwin used harsh and offensive language toward her.
The legal clash highlighted a rare and very public conflict within Ghana’s film industry, drawing reactions from fans and fellow actors alike.
Reflecting on the situation, Lilwin, alongside his legal team, offered his regrets directly. “Martha, we are truly sorry,” he began in the video, visibly contrite. “We apologize for the disrespect and the way things were handled. It was never our intention to hurt you.”
Lilwin went on to appeal for Martha’s understanding, saying, “Please, Martha, forgive us for the silly mistakes we made. You’re our sister in the Lord, and we deeply regret our actions.”
His legal team joined in the plea, emphasizing the importance of moving forward. “Martha, as legal counsel for Lilwin, we acknowledge that errors were made, and we’re here to humbly ask for your forgiveness. We all make mistakes, and we hope you can find it in your heart to let this go.”
