Man Crushed To Death By Police Vehicle Conveying Suspects

A police vehicle with registration number GP-516, has crushed a middle-aged man to death on the Damongo-Busunu highway in the Savannah Region.

According to Joy News, the accident occurred on Monday 16th January, 2023.

The deceased is believed to be a herdsman.

According to reports, he was crossing from the western part of the road onto the main road when the vehicle ran over him and killed him instantly.

A Police source says the vehicle was conveying some seven suspects from the Damongo Police station to Tamale when the accident occurred.

The body has since been deposited at the Saint Anne’s Hospital morgue for further investigations.

Meanwhile, the seven suspects are at the Busunu Police station under heavy security guard.
