A recent survey by Global InfoAnalytics has revealed a significant shift in public perception regarding the direction of the country under President John Dramani Mahama.
The data, shared by Joyce Bawah Mogtari, a special aide to the president, indicates that a larger percentage of Ghanaians now believe the country is on the right track compared to a year ago.
According to the survey, 70% of respondents in January 2025 believe Ghana is moving in the right direction, a dramatic rise from the 22% recorded in January 2024.

Conversely, the percentage of people who felt the country was heading in the wrong direction dropped sharply from 68% to 16% within the same period.
The percentage of those with no opinion saw a slight increase from 10% to 14%.
The data suggests growing confidence in the new administration under Mahama, which took office earlier this year, precisely, on January 7, 2025.

Since assuming office, Mahama’s government has been focused on implementing policies aimed at economic stabilization, social development, and governance reforms.
The sharp increase in optimism could reflect positive public sentiment towards these efforts.
