Former President John Mahama is facing a lawsuit regarding the appointment of Anthony Sarpong as the head of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA).

The suit was filed by Emmanuella Sarfoah, who claims the appointment is unlawful.

The writ of summons states, “An action had been commenced against you by the above-named Plaintiff.” It orders Mahama to respond within eight days of receiving the document.

Sarfoah said, “This appointment undermines the integrity of the GRA.” She believes every appointment should follow legal guidelines.

As the case progresses, it could impact future government appointments in Ghana. Sarfoah added, “We must ensure accountability in our public institutions.”
