Gospel musician and preacher Sonnie Badu has prophesied that President John Dramani Mahama will soon become the first sitting president of Ghana to be ordained as a pastor.
During a recent public appearance, Badu, known for his bold spiritual insights, shared his belief that President Mahama’s journey is far from over, with a unique twist on what the future holds.
“Now that His Excellency has fulfilled the comeback mission, there is one more hurdle to overcome; call it a prophecy. His Excellency will soon be ordained as a pastor,” Badu said, sending waves of surprise through his audience.
The prophecy comes at a time when President Mahama has successfully navigated his return to political prominence, after his first-term presidency, which ended in 2016.

His continued influence within the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has made him an integral figure in the party’s activities, yet Badu’s prediction adds an entirely new dimension to Mahama’s future.
In his message, Sonnie Badu continued, “He might become the first pastor to serve as a president. Congratulations in advance.”
The gospel musician’s words suggest that Mahama’s role in the country could take a different path, blending both political leadership and pastoral guidance.
This has left many Ghanaians wondering: Could Ghana’s political landscape shift to accommodate a president who also serves as a spiritual leader?
