National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate John Dramani Mahama has promised to fight corruption wholeheartedly if elected in 2024.

Formal president John Dramani Mahama assured the people of Lambussie in the Upper West Region that all corrupt people, irrespective of their political affiliation, will face punishment under the future NDC administration. He promised that corrupt people would have it extremely rough if he were elected president in 2024.

Mr. Mahama said, “It doesn’t matter whether you belong to our government or past governments; if you steal the people’s money, we will deal with you. If elected president, I will allow anti-corruption institutions to work. Nobody should come and call me to save them when they catch you. Any person, whether in my government, outside my government, or in the previous NPP government, if the anti-corruption institutions are dealing with you, that is your business because we must save this country.”

The NDC flag-bearer candidate will run for president of Ghana once more in the general election of 2024.

Meanwhile, the NDC parliamentary and presidential elections elections will be held on May 13, 2023.
