Popular gospel musician Uncle Ato has thrown his weight behind President John Dramani Mahama, describing him as the best person to lead Ghana at this critical time.

In an interview with Ohemaa Woyeje on Angel FM, the singer explained that Mahama’s previous experience as president gives him a unique advantage in tackling the country’s challenges.

“President Mahama has been in power before, stepped away, examined the issues, and returned. He is the best person for the job now,” Uncle Ato stated.

His comments come at a time when many Ghanaians are anxiously looking for swift economic recovery and improved governance following Mahama’s return to office.

The high cost of living, unemployment, and economic instability have been major concerns for citizens, prompting discussions about how fast the government can implement solutions.

However, while expressing confidence in Mahama, Uncle Ato also voiced concerns about the government’s pace in addressing the country’s challenges.

“The only issue I have with the government now is the lack of urgency. They are saying they are setting up committees and going around to identify problems. Didn’t they know the issues before coming to power? They need to move with speed because people are suffering,” he said.
