President John Dramani Mahama has received high praise for his leadership qualities, with Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams commending his ability to rise above betrayal and adversity.
The General Overseer of Action Chapel International urged Mahama to remain steadfast in his forgiving and inclusive approach to governance.
Speaking at the President’s Fellowship with the Clergy at the Accra International Conference Centre on Friday, February 28, 2025, Duncan-Williams reflected on Mahama’s political journey and his resilience in the face of challenges.
“Mr. President, you are that kind of example because I’ve watched you when you were in power before, even in the days when you were in Parliament. I watched your attitude,” the Archbishop said.

He acknowledged Mahama’s ability to navigate political betrayals and conflicts without holding grudges.
“I’ve seen people hurt, offend, and betray you over the years. We’ve talked about some of them.
“You don’t discriminate. You have not lost your common touch, whether in opposition or in government, you are not vindictive. Please stay that way, don’t change,” he urged.
The event, attended by notable religious leaders including Prophet Isaac Owusu Bempah, Prophet Salifu Amoako, and Prophet Badu Kobi, underscored the strong connection between the church and the presidency.
