Ghanaian dancehall superstar Shatta Wale has opened up about his relationship with his current girlfriend, Maali, in a heartfelt interview on the talk show Rants, Bants and Confessions.
The SM boss surprised fans with a softer side, revealing the deep connection he shares with Maali and his admiration for her genuine support and warmth.
“Maali is like my perfect match. She is just supportive, that is all,” Shatta Wale shared, adding that their relationship feels so natural that he sometimes regrets not meeting her sooner. “She is very sweet.

Sometimes, she makes me feel so bad when I am talking to her. I feel like I should have met her earlier,” he said, describing how Maali’s understanding and kindness have brought new joy to his life.
Shatta Wale went on to explain how Maali’s unwavering belief in his love has strengthened their relationship. Despite initially being uncertain about his feelings, she has now come to trust in his commitment fully.
“She believes I love her. That is the only thing I love about her. She has come to believe so quickly because when I said I even loved her, she did not believe,” he revealed.
He spoke fondly of her efforts to stay connected, recounting that even if they go through periods without talking, she’s proactive in rekindling conversations with a simple message saying she’s missed their time together.
“She knows how to talk. Sometimes, if she can’t even create conversations with me, she sends me texts and tells me she is sorry we haven’t communicated for a while,” he added, showing his appreciation for her thoughtfulness.
