Rapper Lil Wayne appeared on Not Just Football with Cam Heyward where he discussed his dream collaborations and mentioned a few artists who have passed away.
He mentioned that he would have loved to collaborate with the late legendary musicians, Michael Jackson and Prince if they were alive.
Additionally, he expressed his admiration for the late rappers Biggie and Pac, stating that he would have also enjoyed working with them.
“Michael Jackson. The second one would be — not even the second [but] 1A would be Prince. You already know that the other two — if we’re going to do rap — the other two have to be Biggie and ‘Pac, plain and simple.”
Wayne then shifted his focus to partnerships that are still possible and added: “Now somebody that’s living, that’s right here walking this planet with us: Lauryn Hill.”
In June 2023, Lil Wayne brashly asserted that no performer can compete with him on the Versus stage.
The American rapper named the artist he would like to face in a Verzuz showdown during an interview with Rolling Stone. The rapper delivered an odd response when asked who he would like to compete against.
“I was interested in Mixtape Weezy going against Lil Wayne. That would have been crazy,” Wayne said.
The journalist responded, “So you’d be onstage by yourself?”
“Yeah. What other artists you think?” Wayne shot back. “There ain’t no other artist that can stand on the stage next to me, bro. I’m sorry.”
Aside from Jay-Z, fans have been anticipating Lil Wayne to participate in a Verzuz matchup. But the question remains: who would be a worthy opponent for him?
