Lil Durk’s 10-year-old son has allegedly shot his stepfather, according to reports.
The man in question, Joshua Pippens, posted a video on Instagram on July 1 showing the domestic incident that resulted in the tragic shooting.
“As y’all can see I was not the aggressor,” he wrote in the caption alongside the video, “and y’all also can see how I still had my gun on my hip he grabbed my gun off my hip following his moms lead and tried to shoot me and then actually shot me I advise y’all see it before they take it down #buildawareness.”
In a subsequent post, Pippens posted a picture of an official document outlining a visit by the young boy — known as Jerome Harris Jr., and believed to be Lil Durk’s son according to various online sources — who was interviewed by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Office “as part of the evaluation investigation.”
As per the document, the boy informed the authorities that he saw his mother, referred to as Ms. Collier in the report, and Pippens arguing outside the man’s residence.
At a certain point, the child got out of the car and pushed his stepfather. Eventually, the boy confessed to picking up a gun that Pippens had dropped during the altercation and shooting him in defence of his mother.
At present, Durk has not issued any statements regarding the incident.
