Atlanta rapper Lil Baby and his legal team are pushing back hard against the Atlanta Police Department after authorities linked him to the tragic deaths of two teenagers.
The controversy stems from a July 2024 shooting that claimed the lives of 13-year-olds Lamon Freeman and Jakody Davis, an incident authorities believe was tied to a prior confrontation at a music video shoot for the rapper.
Investigators suggest that a May 2024 video shoot—allegedly involving rival gangs 4PF (Four Pockets Full) and OMF (Only My Family)—escalated tensions, ultimately leading to the teen murders.
Atlanta Police Homicide Commander Maj. Ralph Woolfolk went as far as to state that Lil Baby filmed the video in a location he “should not have been,” implying indirect responsibility.

However, Lil Baby’s attorneys, Drew Findling and Marissa Goldberg, have blasted the accusations as “complete and total nonsense.”
In a strongly worded statement, they condemned the police’s claims as “unprofessional, unethical, and shameful,” insisting that the rapper had no role in determining the video shoot’s location.
The Grammy-nominated artist himself took to social media to set the record straight, cautioning fans against “fake news” while expressing his devastation over the deaths of two young boys from his own community.
Meanwhile, seven suspects have already been arrested in connection with the case as police continue their investigation.
With tensions rising and Lil Baby’s legal team vowing to fight back, the controversy surrounding these tragic events is far from over.
