In consonance with the trending IGP leaked tape saga, Kwame A Plus has taken to social media to make light of the situation by asking why the police officers implicated in the tape struck up conversations with Bugri Naabu in the first place.
The trending report is centered on a bunch of police officers led by COP George Mensah who allegedly orchestrated a plot to kick out the current Inspector General of Police, George Akuffo Dampare and held a meeting with politician Bugri Naabu in that regard.
A Plus suggested that the police officers obviously compromised their own integrity when they held the conspiracy meeting with a man whose name means he can’t keep his mouth shut.
A Plus took to his favorite social media platform, Facebook, and wrote; Why will you think of having a secret conversation with a man called Naabu? 👄🫦 People are bold ooo 😂. Well done. Clap for your hands 😂😂😂😂
Meanwhile during his appearance before the ad-hoc parliamentary committee investigating the matter on Friday, September 1, 2023, COP George Mensah alleged that the recording of the leaked tape was orchestrated by the IGP, who currently holds the original copy.
COP Mensah further expressed his belief that the audio currently under review by the parliamentary committee has been significantly altered. In response to the committee’s inquiry regarding the location of the original recording, COP Mensah directed them to Dr. Dampare, as he is in possession of the original copy.
“My intel suggests that what was used to tape the conversation was done by the current IGP. He sent some people to do it and after which he went for it and so the tape, from my intel is with the IGP, and he caused it to be leaked and so if this committee wants the tape, then it should contact the IGP for it.”
