Ghanaian rap icon Sarkodie delivered an emotional tribute to budding rapper Kweku Smoke during the highly anticipated Revival Concert on December 18, 2024, at Ghud Park in Accra.

Though Sarkodie made it clear he wasn’t there to perform, his presence alone electrified the audience, and his heartfelt words underscored the night’s significance.

“I came out to support my boy, Kweku Smoke,” Sarkodie declared, his voice heavy with emotion as he addressed the crowd.

“The first time I saw Kweku Smoke in my house, I listened to his song, and I recorded three verses on the spot. That is the first time Sarkodie has done three verses for an artiste, and that should tell you how good Kweku Smoke is.”

The Revival Concert marked a pivotal moment for Kweku Smoke, who has steadily climbed Ghana’s music ladder with his relentless drive and undeniable talent.

Over the years, he’s faced his share of challenges, from navigating industry politics to battling for recognition in a competitive field.

Yet, as Sarkodie put it, Kweku Smoke’s story is one of resilience and perseverance.

“This boy has been through a lot, and he is the definition of patience and hard work,” Sarkodie continued. “From day one to today, he’s been grinding, and I have tears in my eyes.”

Sarkodie’s words carried a weight that resonated with fans, many of whom have followed Kweku Smoke’s journey closely.
