Kwasi Boateng Rubbishes Kennedy Agyapong’s Ambitions To Be President

Dr. Kwasi Boateng, a professor of political science at Ghana’s Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), has urged Ghanaians to disregard Kennedy Agyapong, the potential flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), because he is unfit to serve as president on moral and political grounds.

During an interview on Akoma FM on March 14, 2023, Dr. Kwasi Boateng advised Ghanaians to choose a candidate in the 2024 election who has the political will to guide the affairs of the country. He claims that the MP for Assin Central has been caught many times insulting the intelligence of Ghanaians and even members of his own party.

“He doesn’t have the moral responsibility to even lead this country because he is on record to have insulted women and used unprintable words against some people, including persons within his own government. So, that man is just not serious, he should forget about his presidential ambitions,” he said.

Many candidates for the NPP administration have already declared their presidential campaigns, including Kennedy Agyapong, Kwabena Agyapong, Joe Ghartey, Dr. Afrivie Akoto, Alan Kwadwo Kverematen, Francis Addai-Nimoh, and Kofi Konadu Apraku.
